
Sonia P. Eapen, MD, FACE
Dr. Eapen is double board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and Internal Medicine. She has been serving patients in the Pearland, Houston and surrounding communities since 2010.
Dr. Eapen received her Bachelor of Science degree from Houston Baptist University in 2000. She graduated from HBU Summa Cum Laude with a double major in Biology and Chemistry.
Dr. Eapen earned her medical degree from St. George’s School of Medicine, Grenada with high honors in 2004. She went on to complete her Internal Medicine residency at the University Of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey. She remained there to complete her two year fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
Dr. Eapen has received several distinctions and honors during her training. She received “Resident of the Year” award for excellence in teaching and clinical care. During her fellowship training, her research was focused on a disease known as acromegaly, a disease where the pituitary gland secretes excess growth hormone.
Dr. Eapen’s clinical interests include treating diseases of the thyroid, polycystic ovarian syndrome, Diabetes and bone disease. She is also very passionate about weight loss management.
Dr. Eapen is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians and the Harris County Medical Society.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Eapen dedicates her time to her husband and two boys. She enjoys traveling, reading, badminton and photography.

Rachel Taylor, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, CDE
Rachel Taylor is licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the State of Texas. She completed her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch. In 2008, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Mrs. Taylor is passionate about Endocrinology. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a diabetes educator and registered nurse for nine years. She is certified by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators as a Certified Diabetes Educator. She has extensive knowledge about diabetes including experience working with patients on all current insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors on the market. In addition, she has lived with Type 1 Diabetes since her 4th birthday.
